I have come to realize that a nice glass piece is essential for any girl's toy collection. But, having a glass dildo just won't do anymore; you also need a really great glass butt plug. I do own a small silicone plug, but I definitely needed an upgrade. The blue and white helix butt plug from Don Wands is an all-around good choice. For beginners, silicone is probably the best option, as it is somewhat flexible and easy to insert. But, for medium to advanced anal play, a sturdier object like glass, steel, or wood is ideal.
The shape and size of my new glass plug are perfect for me. I especially enjoyed the girth of the stem because it was just big enough to feel the pressure of it, yet not too big. In the past, I have tried toys that had a very bulbous head, a very thin stem, and a large base. But, I found that it was more difficult and sometimes painful to remove these types of plugs. Also, the base of this toy is attractive (a blue and white swirl) and its size is ideal. It's not so big that it'll get in the way if you have it inserted while you're getting fucked.
As I washed the plug before playing with it, I let the water get really hot and that warmed up the toy nicely. With a decent amount of lubricant, the plug slides in fairly easy, and because there isn't a huge difference between the head and the stem, taking it out is simple as well. I found that this toy does great on its own or when used with other toys. Once the plug was in place, I used my mini rabbit vibrator to stimulate other areas of my nether region. And, as I mentioned before, this plug does well when you're in the middle of some hardcore action with a partner. It won't accidentally slip out or be in the way of penetration.
This particular plug came in a cushiony pink pouch for safe storage. I prefer toys that come with some type of packaging that can double as a container - that also makes it easier for travel. You can use any method to clean this toy - soap and water, a toy cleaner, rubbing alcohol, boiling, etc. Overall, this is a very good plug for the price.
